Big Daddy’s Vacation Photos

We don’t see new pictures like this very often… these vacation photos were taken on a trip that Speaker Jesse Unruh (also known as “Big Daddy”) took to Japan.

These photos were included in a collection of items recently donated by the estate of Senator Leroy F. Greene.

The first documents from the Senator Leroy F. Greene Collection have been added to the OneVoter website. Senator Leroy F. Greene was the seventh longest-serving legislator in state history, serving thirty-six years between 1962 and 1998. The longtime chair of both the Assembly and Senate Education committees, Greene authored a number of major school safety bills during his tenure. Greene died in 2002.

Among the documents released so far are a four of the 1,800 “Greene Scene” articles that he wrote during his 36 years in the Legislature and a resolution from Lt. Governor Bustamante recognizing his service to the state.

More documents will be added in the weeks ahead.
