Dear Senate President pro Tem Steinberg:
In order to spend more quality time with my growing family, I have decided to step away from my official capacity as Senator.
As such, please accept this letter as my resignation from the California State Senate, effective immediately.
It has been a distinct honor and privilege to serve in the Legislature.
