A thought for tomorrow’s election, from The American Citizens Handbook (1968) by Joy Elmer Morgan. It’s one of my favorites:
THE BALLOT
A weapon that comes down as still
As snowflakes fall upon the sod;
But executes a freeman’s will,
As lightning does the will of God.
– John Pierpont
Have a great election day.
