The line in the KION article that reads “More than 40 current and past state lawmakers have been arrested since January on various charges” probably meant to say “county probation employee” rather than “current and past state lawmakers”. As noted in the Pasadema Star-News, “Washington is the 39th Probation employee arrested so far this year and he will not be the last, according to Chief Probation Officer Jerry Powers
