Holly Mitchell Inauguration

Senator Holly Mitchell Inauguration

Senator Holly Mitchell was sworn into office today, making her the 1148th State Senator in California history.

Senator Mitchell won her seat in the second special election for District 26 in the past decade (the first was in 2009, when Curren Price took the seat vacated by Mark Ridley-Thomas. Her departure from the Assembly creates a vacancy that will likely see Sebastian Ridley-Thomas (son of the Senator) as a candidate.
