The date for the SD-26 and AD-45 Special Primary Elections has been set on September 17.
If no candidates receive more than 50% of the vote in the primary, the run-off elections will be held November 19. This timeline means that candidates must have their papers filed by July 26th.
Q: Who was the last person to serve as Assembly Speaker and Senate President pro Tem? A: James T. Farley served as Speaker in 1856 and Pro Tem in 1871-1874. Only one other person, Ransom Burnell, has ever held both titles.
