End of the 2011-12 Regular Session

Some notes on the 2011-12 Regular Session.

  • The session ending tonight is the 89th Regular Session of the legislature.
  • There wasn’t a single day in the 2011-12 session that all 120 legislators were present for.
  • There was only one Special Session during this Regular Session. This is the fewest special sessions in more than a decade. The last time that no Special Sessions were called during a Regular Session was 1979-80.
  • On the final night of this Session, the total legislative experience of the members of the State Assembly is 352 years. The Senate has an accumulated 354 years.
  • It was a good session.
