This week, the State Senate said goodbye to Gary Link, who had served a Policy Consultant with the Senate Republican Office of Policy since 2011. Gary is leaving to accept a position as a lobbyist.
I first met Gary in the late 2000s, while he was Legislative Director to State Senator John J. Benoit. In addition to his actual job duties, Gary spent countless hours mentoring junior staffers. In the years since, these staffers have become attorneys, chiefs of staff, and members of the third house.
His humor and tales of rafting danger will be missed by the posse he left behind. We wish Gary the best in his new adventure.
