Wednesday was “Ag Day” at the Capitol; one of the more fun days each year when farmers from around the state converge to communicate the importance of California farming to the legislators.
The event, which is open to the public, includes samples of agricultural products including honey, flowers, steak sandwiches, and Rice Crispy Treats made with California-grown rice. Legislators and staff were also able to mingle with cows, horses, and several alpaca (including one owned by Assemblywoman Linda Halderman).
